Company Bios


Neal Beasley (Dancer) is a graduate of Idyllwild Arts Academy in southern California, and holds a BFA in dance from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts.  From 2003-2007 he was a member of the Trisha Brown Dance Company, where he participated in the creation of several original works and acted as rehearsal assistant to Ms. Brown during her 2004 creation for the Paris Opera Ballet. He was the recipient of a 2004 Princess Grace Fellowship in dance for his work with the company.  From 2007-2009, Neal was a member of Ballet Preljocaj in Aix en Provence, France.  He has been working with John Jasperse since his return to New York earlier 2009.

Erin Cornell (Dancer) received a BFA from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She has worked with Jennifer Lacey, Sara Rudner, Cathy Weiss, Patricia Hoffbauer, Jennifer Monson, Allan Buffard, Loic Touze, Chamecki/Lerner, Yasuko Yokoshi, and collaborated with Miguel Gutierrez. She continues to perform with Zeena Parkins as a plastic girl in various incarnations of "Zeena and the Plastic Girls." Her own work has been presented at various venues in New York City. When not dancing, she studies mathematics, chemistry and biology at Brooklyn College. She is delighted to be a member of the John Jasperse Company.

Eleanor Hullihan (Dancer) is from Winston-Salem, NC.  She has trained at North Carolina School of the Arts, ADF, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, S.E.A.D., and at the Kane School.  She has danced works by Trisha Brown and Nacho Duato and has performed with Beth Gill, Jennifer Monson, Jennifer Allen, Miguel Gutierrez, Zeena Parkins and has been dancing with John since 2003.  She and Katy Pyle's fantasy performances and films have been presented in numerous venues in NYC, most recently headlining Catch ++ at PS122.  She teaches Pilates and dance in LA and NYC.  Love to my three mothers, my three fathers, friends and Jimmy.

Joe Levasseur (Lighting Designer) has worked closely on lighting and production with many contemporary dance artists, including John Jasperse, RoseAnne Spradlin, Sarah Michelson, David Dorfman, Beth Gill, Maria Hassabi, Ashleigh Leite, Jennifer Monson, LeeSaar the Company, Anna Sperber, Megan Sprenger, Christopher Williams and Pavel Zustiak. He also lit theater pieces at the Chocolate Factory and Brick theaters, and designed the Off-Broadway play Edge. Levasseur is a recipient of a New York Dance and Performance "Bessie" Award for his body of work for the 2007–08 season. Kayvon Pourazar (Dancer) is of Persian origin and was raised in Iran, Turkey and England. He graduated with a BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase in May 2000. He has performed in the works of Beth Gill, Levi Gonzalez, Donna Uchizono Company, Jennifer Monson, Doug Varone and Dancers, Gwen Welliver, K.J. Holmes, Wil Swanson/ DANCEWORKS, Gabriel Masson Dance, Malashock Dance and Company and The Metropolitan Opera's productions of Les Troyens and Le Sacre de Printemps. Kayvon's work has been shown at Sacramento State University's Shasta Hall, P.S 122, The Cunningham Studios and Dixon Place. He has worked with the John Jasperse Company since January 2006 and currently performs with Yasuko Yokoshi and Gwen Welliver also.
